Battlefords RCMP say a traffic stop in North Battleford led to the arrest of a local man and the seizure of illicit drugs.
Officers pulled over a car with no licence plate on 15th Avenue in North Battleford at around 1:50 p.m. on June 11.
During the investigation, officers determined the male passenger was wanted on a Battlefords RCMP warrant for charges that included possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, escape lawful custody, and possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine.
A search of the vehicle located two grams of psilocybin, 35 grams of methamphetamine, 1.66 kilograms of illicit cannabis, and drug trafficking paraphernalia, police said.
A 41-year-old man from North Battleford now faces seven counts of possession and failure to comply with release order charges.
He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 12.
