Police in Regina say officers made a major drug bust last week.
According to a statement released by the Regina Police Service on Wednesday, officers arrested a 43-year-old man outside a residential complex on Arens Road on Thursday. Police said he was carrying a loaded, nine-millimetre handgun, brass knuckles and a knife at the time of his arrest.

Police said officers conducted several raids that same day, including on a home on Arens Road and two vehicles that were owned by the man who was arrested.
During those searches, police said officers seized 4.2 kilograms of methamphetamine, roughly 0.5 kilograms of fentanyl and 3.82 grams of cocaine, which had an approximate street value of $115,000.
Police said officers also seized $7,795 in cash, a second loaded handgun that had been modified to fire fully automatically, a .22-calibre handgun equipped with a suppressor, a 7.62 millimetre semi-automatic rifle, a .22-calibre semi-automatic rifle, more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition and shotgun shells, “prohibited extended magazines,” body armour and bladed weapons.

In addition to the raids in Regina, police said an additional search warrant was executed at a home on Fifth Avenue North in Saskatoon on Thursday. During that raid, police said a 32-year-old man was arrested and officers seized $31,090 in cash, a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck, a cell phone and “assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.”
The 43-year-old man arrested in Regina is now facing a list of charges including possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and numerous firearms charges, including tampering with a firearm’s serial number.
He appeared in court on Friday morning, police said.
The 32-year-old man arrested in Saskatoon is facing charges of trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, police said.
He appeared in court in Saskatoon on Monday.
