As the nation celebrates its birthday on Wednesday, a number of city services will be operating on holiday hours in Regina.
The city said its civic offices will be closed on Canada Day and paid parking on city streets will not be required. Waste collection will proceed as scheduled, while Regina Transit will operate on its Sunday schedule. Paratransit service will use its holiday schedule, operating from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m.

The offices will be closed at Riverside Memorial Park and Regina Cemetery, but gates will be open between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
The North West and Sandra Schmirler leisure centres will be open from noon to 6 p.m., while the Sportsplex–Fieldhouse & Lawson Aquatic Centre will be open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The Wascana Outdoor Pool will welcome swimmers between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Canada Day, while the Maple Leaf Outdoor Pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Buffalo Meadows, Regent and Massey outdoor pools will operate from noon to 8 p.m.
The Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Canada Day.
