A 23-year-old Regina man is facing charges after a high-speed motorcycle pursuit where police said he reached speeds up to 200 km/h.
In a news release on July 10, Regina Police Service (RPS) said officers tracked the suspect on July 9 around 11:20 p.m. from Pasqua Street and Sherwood Drive, before unsuccessfully attempting to stop him at Pasqua Street North and 9th Avenue North.
RPS then called in the police plane, and the officers on board said they tracked the motorcyclist traveling up to 200 km/h and travelling through multiple red lights.
Police said the plane directed officers on the ground to a home in the 2200 block of Princess Street, where the man fled on foot before quickly being taken into custody.
He has been charged with dangerous driving, fleeing from police and resisting arrest and is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on August 19.
