Mountain bikers have a new destination for hitting the trails.
A grand opening ceremony for the new intermediate flow trail and climb trail was held at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park on July 20, according to the Saskatchewan government.
The project features approximately 860 metres of professionally-designed new intermediate flow trail, featuring jumps, berms and rollers. The new climb trail is about a kilometre long, according to the release from the province.

It said the new facilities will complement the existing system, which includes more than 30 trails. The new trails were designed with sustainability and erosion management in mind.
The additions add “another exciting feature to the Trailhead area, supports the café and creates a more robust riding experience for everyone who comes here to enjoy the trails,” said Buffalo Pound Provincial park manager Dave Bjarnason.
The province said the project is continuing its efforts to transform the former White Track Ski Hill area into a four-season recreation destination. Park staff, volunteers and interested community groups were all instrumental in making the new trails a reality.
“The excitement surrounding the construction and opening of these new trails has been felt not only by our members, but by trail users across Saskatchewan,” Moose Jaw Cycling Coalition president Joss Gauthier said.
“We have proudly led volunteer trail maintenance efforts for many years, and we are honoured to have played a role in this transformation.”
