The Regina Police Service reported fewer missing children, two incidents involving bear spray and more intoxication arrests at the 2026 Queen City Exhibition, compared to last year’s event.
Over the course of the five-day fair, held from July 29 to Aug. 2, 60 missing children were found and returned safely to their families or caregivers. In 2025, there were 76 similar incidents.
The number jumped in 2025 from 2024, when only 39 reports were made of missing children at the exhibition who were reunited with caregivers.

“The Regina Police Service is pleased to have, once again, been part of the annual Queen City Ex,” Regina police said in a news release.
Police reported that, alongside REAL District Security, uniformed and plainclothes officers were on site at the event every day “to support safety and security efforts.”
Other calls for service resulted in three assaults, including one against a peace officer, the release from police alleged, and one involving bear spray where a victim was sprayed and an arrest was made. An additional weapons incident involved bear spray but, according to police, there were no victims present or identified when the spray was deployed.
In 2026, nine people were arrested for intoxication, compared with one in 2025 and 11 in 2024.
This year, seven people needed medical help, there were two thefts and officers recorded 11 consensual altercations that did not lead to charges. Instead those individuals were escorted from the grounds.
The police service noted that the statistics shared reflect only the incidents in which Regina police were involved.
“The Regina Police Service wishes to thank the public, along with REAL Security and staff for a great event. We look forward to next year,” the release stated.
