One year later, Moose Jaw police are still searching for Travis Perlman

It’s been just over a year since Travis Perlman went missing, but police in Moose Jaw haven’t given up on the search.

Perlman, 20, was last seen in Moose Jaw on Aug. 7, 2025. He was reported missing exactly one month later.

Since starting the search, Moose Jaw police said officers have “investigated numerous leads and partnered with agencies in multiple jurisdictions across Western Canada to determine Mr. Perlman’s whereabouts and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.”

But despite the combined efforts, there has been no sign of him since his disappearance.

According to police, Perlman was last seen wearing grey Timberland boots and a dark Nike zip-up sweater with a green logo. He was described as roughly five-foot-eight, weighing between 130 and 140 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. Perlman has a spider and skull tattoo on his left forearm, police added.

The police force said it is “committed to pursuing every available investigative avenue,” to find Perlman, asking people to get in touch if they know anything that could help.

“No piece of information is too small; even seemingly insignificant details may assist investigators,” police wrote in a statement.

Anyone with information on Perlman’s whereabouts was urged to contact the Moose Jaw Police Service or make a report anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Saskatoon search effort suspended

While finding Perlman remains a priority for Moose Jaw police, another police force has put a missing persons case on the backburner.

The Saskatoon Police Service has suspended its search of the South Saskatchewan River for a missing woman who was last seen in the water on the morning of July 31, along with her dog.

Saskatoon firefighters conducted search operations on the water and along the riverbank, even performing dive operations.

Sonar was also used to try and find the woman and her dog, but neither was located.

On Tuesday, the City of Saskatoon announced that the search continued over the weekend without any answers, but the search efforts were subsequently put on pause pending any new information.

The river has been flowing faster than normal this summer because of multiple water releases from the Gardiner Dam, prompting numerous calls for caution.
