The annual Rock 102 Show & Shine Downtown Car Show has returned for its 44th year, spanning 14 city blocks in downtown Saskatoon.
The event showcased hundreds of classic and custom vehicles, a live radio broadcast and more than 50 vendors on Sunday.

Shane Arthur, with Draggins Car Club, joined the CKOM Morning Show with Mark Loshack on Wednesday to share more details about the Show & Shine.
“I think downtown’s gonna be more packed than we’ve ever seen,” he said.
According to Arthur, 10 members of his club are bringing their cars to the event.
Over the years Arthur said he’s owned at least 20 hot rods, and he still has “quite a few in the stable.” He’s bringing his 1937 Chevy and 1968 Chevrolet C10 to the show, noting that the latter is his favourite.
“We just put an LS motor in it, and I can’t wait to drive it around,” Arthur said.
Arthur said his wife is bringing something a little newer — a 1977 Corvette. She restored the car over a couple of years.
“She smiles while she drives,” he said.
According to Arthur, nostalgia is a big part of the appeal of owning vintage cars.
“People are spending money. They’re buying a car. They had this car when they were 16 and they can afford it now, so they’re buying it,” he said.
Show & Shine has been around since 1982, drawing in visitors from across Saskatchewan and Canada. It serves as the finale of a weekend of car-related events that began on Friday evening and continued through Saturday.
In previous years, the Sunday festivities have drawn tens of thousands of spectators. More than 30,000 people came out for the event in both 2024 and 2025.
As with previous years, Show & Shine shuts down a portion of the downtown core to allow for the major event.
Road closures began at 4 a.m. between First and Fourth avenues and from 20th to 23rd streets.
While cars left within the closure zone were towed, owners don’t have to pay to get their vehicle back. Instead, anyone with a towed car can visit the Rock Stage & Tent at the corner of Third Avenue and 21st Street, in front of the Hotel Senator, for help tracking down any towed vehicles.
