A three-month investigation has led to multiple fentanyl production and trafficking charges for three people in Regina.
In a statement, Regina police said their Service Drug Unit began the investigation in May, focusing on people from Regina and B.C. “who were believed to be involved in the production and trafficking of fentanyl in the city of Regina.”

A search warrant for a home in the 3800 block of East Cormorant Drive led to the discovery of evidence of fentanyl manufacturing. Additionally, 1.5 kilograms of processed fentanyl and 81.44 grams of “suspected pure/unprocessed fentanyl” were found at the location, according to police.
Nine hundred grams of methamphetamine and $24,525 in cash were also recovered.
Police said they believe the seizure will prevent “well over 50,000 single doses of illicit fentanyl from being distributed on the streets of Regina. The approximate street value of this seizure is in excess of $500,000.”
Police added that this is the first time charges have been laid in Regina in relation to fentanyl production.
“Once on the street, this large amount of fentanyl would have resulted in serious harm to our community,” said Superintendent Kelly Trithart of the Regina Police Service Investigative Services Division.
“Our investigators are focused on holding high-level dealers accountable and this is a great example of the success that comes with having the resources to conduct these lengthy, complex investigations.”
A 33-year-old Regina man and a 20-year-old Richmond, B.C., man have been charged with multiple offences related to manufacturing and distributing fentanyl. They made their first court appearances Tuesday morning.
A Canada-wide warrant has also been issued for a third suspect in the case, 20-year-old Cassidy Marie Arsenault.
