The Green Zone Replay — Friday. Sept. 4
2:30 p.m. – Dan Clark, former Riders OL and Grey Cup champion
In over 10 seasons for the Riders, Dan Clark played in his fair share of Labour Day games. The Former Riders OL and Grey Cup champion joins Jamie Nye to revisit some of his favourite memories from the Labour Day Classic and give his thoughts on what it will take for the Riders to beat the Bombers this year.
3:30 p.m. – Law Murray, NBA writer for The Athletic
On Wednesday the NBA dropped the biggest and most severe punishment in North American pro sports history. The Los Angeles Clippers were stripped of five first round picks from 2029 through 2033, fined $30 million, and their owner Steve Ballmer was suspended for one year. This comes after an investigation into attempts to circumvent the salary cup by the Clippers and star player Kawhi Leonard. Leonard was fined but not suspended, paving the way for his trade to Toronto to finally take place. Law Murray joins Jamie to recap the punishment, and what it means for the Clippers and Raptors moving forward.
4 p.m. – Chris Walby, Former Bombers OL and three-time Grey Cup champion
We get a perspective of the Labour Day Classic from the enemy’s point of view. Chris Walby is a former Winnipeg Blue Bomber who won three Grey Cups and he joins Jamie for a trip down memory lane. What were some of his favourite memories and what is it like as a Bomber coming into Regina to play in the LDC?
