A severe thunderstorm swept across west-central Saskatchewan Friday evening, bringing hail, strong winds and damage as it tracked northeast through the region.
The storm first impacted the Eatonia area, where dime-sized hail was reported at about 7:45 p.m. Friday. Nickel-sized hail was also reported between Glidden and Eatonia as the storm moved through the area.

The storm later moved into Kindersley, where strong winds brought down some trees, power lines and light posts.
Parts of the community also reported dime-sized hail as the storm passed through. The extent of the damage was not immediately known.
Environment Canada had issued a severe thunderstorm watch for portions of west-central Saskatchewan earlier Friday afternoon, warning that storms could produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
The weather agency said a trough of low pressure moving across southwestern Saskatchewan was expected to trigger thunderstorms late in the afternoon and evening.
After moving through the Kindersley area, the storm continued northeast toward Biggar. The system eventually reached the Biggar area before continuing north of Saskatoon.
No injuries had been reported in connection with the storm as of early Saturday.
