A police investigation launched after a work crew in Regina discovered possible human remains turned out to be ‘calcified metal’.
According to police, the crew discovered items that appeared to be bones while working in the area of Elphinstone Street and Saskatchewan Drive at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

“It is not clear if they are human remains. Work is being done to make this determination,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement.
The investigation was being conducted by its major crimes and forensic identification units.
