Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a wild high-speed chase going the wrong way down Highway 1 and down Main Street North in Moose Jaw on Saturday.
Moose Jaw police say it all began when they were alerted by RCMP about vehicle from Medicine Hat headed their way.
Police say the vehicle was stolen.
Officers set up for a stop on the Trans-Canada highway but instead the driver went the wrong way on the highway then crossed a ditch to head through the city.
It was mid afternoon on a busy Saturday when the vehicle came careening down main street Moose Jaw going the wrong way at speeds up to 160 kilometres an hour, causing police to call off the pursuit around the 1300 block of Main Street N.
A short time later, officers found the vehicle stuck on the railway tracks near 16th Avenue Southwest.
The suspect escaped on foot. He is described as about 30 years old, with long blonde hair and wearing a green military-style jacket, grey pants. He may also have been wearing a high-visibility safety vest.
