Four teenagers are facing armed robbery and weapons charges for a mugging on Saturday in North Central Regina.
Just after midnight on Saturday, four teenage boys approached a 25-year-old man on Cameron Street near 5th Avenue. The suspects were wearing hoods and bandanas to cover their faces. They allegedly demanded that the man hand over all his belongings. When the man refused, one boy allegedly pulled out a machete.
The man ran into a nearby house and called the police. Officers arrested the four suspects a short time later.
Two 14-year-old boys, one 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy are all facing charges for armed robbery and wearing a disguise. Three of the boys are also facing charges for carrying a concealed weapon and one is charged with obstructing a police officer.
They made their first appearance in Youth Court and cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
