The death toll is rising during a night of terror in Paris.
France is declaring a state of emergency and closing its borders after multiple terror attacks in Paris. The latest reports say more than 120 people are dead after multiple shootings and explosions at different locations including the two restaurants, a soccer stadium, a concert hall and a shopping mall.
The United States said they believe these were coordinated attacks all that happened within a few blocks of one another.
According to reports the first incidents involved gunmen armed with AK-47s targeting two packed restaurants in busy areas of the city, killing dozens. Shortly after that, loud explosions were heard near Stade de France where the French national team was playing an international-friendly soccer match against Germany.
In this video you can hear the explosion in the background and some soccer players stop in the tracks. However the game continued. Reports say French President Francois Hollande was at Stade de France watching the game. Reports suggest the loud explosions came from a suicide bomber close to the stadium.
The horror didn’t stop there. Shortly after reports started coming in about a hostage situation at the Bataclan, a concert venue in Paris where the Eagles of Death Metal were performing. Hundreds of concert-goers were taken hostage inside the venue, and the latest reports suggest around 118 people were killed. Police stormed the concert venue to free some hostages, however not everyone made it out.
Here’s another video of the police presence moving towards Bataclan.
