Kids in Regina celebrated the start of the new year a bit early at the Saskatchewan Science Centre’s annual Noon Year’s Eve party on Thursday.
There were several big bang science experiments and other displays ahead of the countdown.
Looking ahead to 2016, News Talk Radio asked the young partygoers what they want to have happen in the new year. Many of the kids had big dreams of traveling.
These are some of the answers kids had to the question of what they want to happen in 2016.
“I would like to go to Hawaii, swim with dolphins and eat a coconut.”
“I want to go to Disneyland.”
“I want to see Legoland one day!”
“I might want to go to Mexico and swim in the pool.”
Other kids were more focused on dreams and wishes for change closer to home.
“I want to score a goal in hockey.”
“I want my sister to stop being so mean!”
Apparently school didn’t factor into the big plans this year.
