The music world has lost another legend. The Eagles released an official statement confirming that guitarist Glenn Frey has died at the age of 67.
The band published this statement on Facebook Monday afternoon.

Frey co-founded the Eagles with Don Henley. Together they became one of the most successful song-writing teams in history with hits like “Hotel California” and “Life in the Fast Lane”
Frey and Henley formed the Eagles in the early 1970s in Los Angeles with Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. The band’s greatest hits collection and “Hotel California” are among the best-selling albums in history.
Within minutes, tributes began rolling in on social media.

Glenn Frey. I’m shocked. A brilliant songwriter and a really good guy. Talented, funny, cynical and sweet. – Huey pic.twitter.com/fgFVlZOEnX
