A Regina convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, and now a teenager is facing charges.
According to police, the robbery happened just after 10:15 p.m. at a store on Victoria Avenue at Winnipeg Street. The thief got away with a bit of cash.
A little while later a 16-year-old boy was arrested, and police believe they found the gun used in the robbery.
The teen is charged with use of a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, disguise with intent, carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of careless use of a firearm, prohibited device, or ammunition, and armed robbery.
His first appearance in court on these charges was Monday afternoon.
