Regina police have caught up to a culprit charged in three armed robberies dating back to December.
Just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, police officers were called to a convenience store on Dewdney Avenue near Retallack Street for the report of a robbery. The suspect was alone and had his face covered, he entered the business armed with a knife and demanded money. A police canine team tracked the suspect to a house on Retallack Street where officers seized evidence and arrested a man.
Further investigation linked the same suspect to armed robberies at a gas station on Albert Street near 15th Avenue on March 16 and one at a convenience store on Broad Street near 1st Avenue North on December 30.
Twenty-five-year-old Raymond Chailln Quewezance is facing three charges for armed robbery along with wearing a disguise with the intent to commit a crime and obstructing a police officer.
He made his first court appearance at Provincial Court in Regina on Tuesday afternoon.
