Dogs will be on the agenda of Regina city council Monday night.
Councillors will vote on whether to create a new off-leash dog park in the east industrial area of the city. If approved, it would open this summer. Three more fenced off-leash dog parks are also in the works for the long term. Those are in the planning stage.
The motion will also include the possibility of having a dog swim this summer. An outdoor pool would be selected near the end of summer before the water is drained for pooches to paddle around in. The city said many residents have showed interest in this type of opportunity.
The council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.
