Regina police seized a sizeable amount of cocaine and amphetamine along with a small amount of marijuana after busting an alleged drug trafficking ring over the weekend.
On Friday members of the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team seized the drugs while searching the home of a man suspected of trafficking drugs. The man was bound by a court-ordered condition to submit to a search of his home or vehicle by police on reasonable grounds.
Officers were doing a curfew check and search at his house on the 3900 block Robinson Street when they found the drugs along with drug paraphernalia, cell phones and a large amount of Canadian cash. Two other men and a woman were also arrested at the house and all four are facing drug trafficking charges.
Abdifatah Abdullah Hassan, 27 is facing charges for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with recognizance.
Omar Abidiaziz Issak, 29, from Edmonton is also facing possession charges for the purpose of trafficking along with 27-year-old Ahmed Abdirizak Dirie of Toronto. Nineteen-year-old Amina Max Koshin from Regina is also charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
All four appeared in Provincial Court in Regina on Monday morning.
