The Saskatchewan Roughriders are trying to do a little good with their game on Friday.
Several places in the province have been hit by flooding in the past couple of weeks, so the Riders are taking $5 from every ticket sold this week for Friday’s game, and giving it to the Canadian Red Cross.
“We know that the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Rider Nation come through in time of need, and this is yet another example of their commitment to helping the people of Saskatchewan affected by disaster,” said Cindy Fuchs with the Canadian Red Cross in a news release from the Roughriders.
The Riders play the Ottawa Redblacks at Mosaic Stadium on Friday. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
