Three men are facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm and assault with a weapon after a gun call sent the Village of Green Lake into lockdown on Saturday.
The whole incident started at 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning with a call to police about a gunshot fired in Green Lake. Officers called in the Emergency Response Team and police dog unit for backup when there were signs that the people inside the house had access to guns.
Highway 55 leading into the village was blocked off for most of the morning and people were evacuated from nearby houses.
Officers arrested one man at 10:45 a.m. on a nearby street and two other men were arrested without incident when they left the house at 1 p.m. One of those men will not face charges.
Austin Lafond, 20, of Green Lake is facing multiple charges for assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm for the purpose of crime. Aaron Roy, 22, also from Green Lake is facing the same list of gun charges including assault with a weapon.
Police issued a warrant for the arrest of 27-year-old Corey O’Neil Bouvier from Green Lake who is facing the same charges. He later turned himself in to police on Tuesday.
