A number of new and expanded bus routes could soon be in operation in Regina.
A report from city administration recommends expansion of bus service in the Harbour Landing, Tuxedo Park and Fairways West neighbourhoods. In addition, a new Arcola express route would be created. To complement that route, service would be altered in Windsor Park.
The city’s community and protective services committee was scheduled to discuss the proposed changes Thursday.
The report indicated a need for service at the Regina Airport, but it is not being recommended as part of the changes.
Administration noted the large amount of service hours that would be required.
The proposals came about after the city asked the public for its feedback in the fall of 2017.
If approved, the transit changes could take effect at the end of April.
