I will be interested to see how many people adopt the Philadelphia Eagles as their team for the next two weeks leading to Super Bowl 52.
The New England Patriots are back to the Super Bowl again after another fourth-quarter comeback and the dynasty of Belichick and Brady continue with their eighth AFC Championship. And when it comes to the Patriots you either love them or hate them. But you have to at least respect them.
Yes, they are the favourites again to win a sixth title and third in their last four seasons and while the storyline of Brady and Belichick collected another title seems quite stale.
And the quarterback that will be tasked to bring them down will be the Eagles backup Nick Foles.
Foles performance was Bradyesque in the NFC Championship game but on Super Bowl Sunday, it’ll be an entirely different atmosphere than playing in front of the hometown crowd.
Fans now have two weeks to go shopping for Eagles gear, because they’ll be my adopted team on February 4th.
