8:30 – Tomorrow marks the anniversary of D-Day, the historic Allied landing in Normandy on June 6, 1944, which helped change the course of World War II. General Rick Hillier, former Canadian Chief of the Defence Staff, joins Evan to remember the bravery of Canadian soldiers, why this day still matters, and to talk about other recent military news.
Listener Question: Do you think D-Day is remembered well enough?
9:00 – Betty Nippi-Albright, Independent MLA for Saskatoon Centre, has sat as an Independent for a month now. She left the Saskatchewan NDP after her concerns over Bill 48, The Compassionate Intervention Act, weren’t addressed. She also claims to have been bullied and manipulated to stay silent. She joins us now to talk about her time as an Independent, and what changes she would make to the act to provide better mental health and addiction treatment.
LQ: If a loved one were battling a severe addiction and refusing help, would you support mandatory treatment in that situation?
9:30 – Open phones – Evan goes to the phones to chat with listeners about what’s on their minds today. Call 1-877-332-8255.

11:15 –Being active is an important part of one’s mental health journey. Movement is a cause near and dear to Brent and Joely Loehndorf, who started the Candle Lake Fun Run Inc. They’ve watched family and friends struggle with mental health and wanted to do something about it. They join the show to talk about why the run got started and how people can get involved.
11:30 – The AI data centre set to be built south of Regina continues to spark conversation. A new report, co-written by Dr. Margot Hurlbert, Canada Research Chair in Climate Change, Energy and Sustainability Policy and professor at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Regina, explores the project in great detail. It doesn’t criticize the project completely, but asks if the province of Saskatchewan is getting the full benefit of the centre and why many questions remain unanswered.
LQ: Do you see AI as more of an opportunity or more of a threat?
12:00 – Evan revisits his conversation with General Rick Hillier, former Canadian Chief of the Defence Staff.
