Many people who were watching the Toronto Blue Jays on Facebook, didn’t like watching the Blue Jays on Facebook.
That’s what I was told, anyway. I don’t do Facebook. I’m online. I like Twitter. But Facebook is a complete waste of time, unless you need a zucchini recipe or really like dog pictures. And who wants Mark Zuckerberg to tap into your secret hobbies?
According to my friends and co-workers who caught some of the Toronto-Kansas City baseball game on Wednesday, the streaming video was OK. The announcers need more experience. The Blue Jays won handily. And most of the live interaction came from people grumbling about the fact the baseball game wasn’t on the cable broadcasts they paid to get on their hi-def TVs.
Major League Baseball has an agreement to show some weekday games this season exclusively on Facebook. Which is just another reason to not watch a baseball game.
