Regina police have released more information on a gun incident on Friday in North Central.
Around 6:30 p.m., police went to the 800 block of Elphinstone Street to investigate a report saying a man was pointing a gun at members of the public.
Shortly after officers got there, they called in members of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and the Crisis Negotiation Team.
After a “lengthy negotiation,” police said they released tear gas and concluded the incident peacefully. No one was hurt.
They added they searched a residence and found an Airsoft handgun.
Two men, ages 23 and 25, have been arrested and charged.
They both appeared in provincial court Monday morning.
