Regina police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old man with murder in the death of a 21-year-old earlier this week.
Police are now identifying the victim as Miguel Lucas Antoan Lane. He died in the hospital early Wednesday morning after police found him severely injured when they were called to a report of a shooting on the 2800 block of Sinton Avenue late Tuesday night.
An investigation led officers to arrest Austin Thomas Yates.
Yates is charged with second-degree murder and made his first court appearance Friday morning.
Police and the coroner are still investigating the exact circumstances of the death.
This was the sixth murder of the year in the city.
