Regina police are spending the long weekend investigating a murder in North Central.
Officers responded to a call about a male who was found lying on the sidewalk near 7th Avenue and Garnet Street early Saturday morning, just a few minutes past midnight.
He was given emergency first-aid on scene and taken to hospital where he died.
Police have released few other details at this time. The male’s name or age have not been released but police will confirm his identity once his family is notified. It’s not clear yet how he was killed and no arrest has been made.
This is Regina’s third homicide of 2019.
