The man who pulled a gun while trying to sell a garden tractor was Tasered and arrested by Regina police on Monday.
Harold Joseph Hanson, 34, is facing eight charges — including three for weapons offences — in relation to the incident. He was to make his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
On Sunday, police responded to a gun call that occurred at approximately 4 p.m., in the area of the 3500 block of Dewdney Avenue.
Officers were told a man drove into the area, unloaded a garden tractor from his truck and demanded that a 33-year-old man buy the tractor. When the victim refused, the suspect pulled out a pistol.
The victim walked away without incident and the suspect drove away.
On Monday, an officer saw the suspect’s truck in North Central. The male occupant of the vehicle abandoned the truck in an alley near the 1400 block of Wascana Street and ran off.
Police chased the man and eventually caught him, using a Taser to take him into custody. The man was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to cells.
