Regina police are laying charges against a 20-year-old man after an assault with a baseball bat near the Northgate Mall Saturday afternoon.
In a media release, police said officers were called around 2:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Lorne Street North.
When they arrived, officers said they discovered a 33-year-old man was returning to his apartment suite when he was attacked with a baseball bat.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A 20-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
The accused will appear in court Jan. 16, 2020.
