As many celebrity talk show hosts make the move to broadcast from their own homes, 11-year-old twin brothers in Regina decided to take the opportunity to launch their own show on social media.
Bob and Tom Massey joined the Greg Morgan Morning Show on Wednesday to talk about how they started up their show, which is recorded live on Instagram three times a week and shared on YouTube with 1,400 subscribers. They have already interviewed Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Cody Fajardo on video chat.
“He and his wife were doing good and their dog is too I think,” Tom told Morgan on Wednesday.
Regina Police Chief Evan Bray was another recent guest.
“Chief Bray was awesome. He really had a lot of personality and I liked how he really described every concept that we were talking about,” Bob said.
The brothers usually prepare for interviews with online research, but they were quick to turn the tables on Morgan with a question about how he got his start in radio.
When he explained how it was his mother who changed his life by suggesting a career in radio because he never stopped talking, they could easily relate.
“My dad changed my life because I got my own YouTube channel with my brother,” Bob said.
The boys aren’t aiming for Morgan’s job just yet, saying they’re still working on their interview skills. Plus they have other goals in mind for the future, with Bob explaining how he wants to play hockey.
“I want to become a basketball player, but I also want to try and become a lawyer because I love to argue,” Tom said, admitting he mainly argues with his brother.
So perhaps it’s John Gormley who should watch out for the next generation.
