The Regina Police Service says the death of a man found in a burning vehicle early Wednesday is not considered suspicious at this time.
In a release, police said there isn’t anything to suggest the death is criminal in nature and the fire does not appear to be suspicious. Police said the investigation is continuing.
On Wednesday around 5:30 a.m., patrol members came across a vehicle engulfed in flames on 13th Avenue East and Embury Street. The Regina Fire Department was called to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
An early investigation revealed there was a person inside the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s next of kin has been notified. The Regina Police Service said it will not be releasing the name of the man at this time.
