A second person has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Regina delivery driver in May.
A 29-year-old woman is facing charges of robbery, forcible confinement and overcoming resistance by administering a drug. A 30-year-old man is facing the same charges.
The robbery occurred May 30 in east Regina. After a 23-year-old man had completed a food delivery, another man knocked on the driver’s window.
The suspect opened the car door, took the driver’s phone and pulled him into a nearby house. Police say the victim was taken to the basement, physically assaulted, and forced to take substances that were believed to be drugs.
According to police, the victim then was forced to transfer money to the suspect before being taken to an ATM and forced to withdraw more cash. At that point, police say a woman had joined the other suspect.
Investigation led to charges against the male suspect on July 19. The woman was arrested Saturday.
