For the third time this year, a 46-year-old Regina man has been charged with mischief after he allegedly sprayed graffiti on buildings and broke windows — including at a Regina doughnut store.
It’s the second time the man allegedly damaged Country Corner Donuts.
The man was charged in January and again in March. On Thursday, he was charged in connection with seven more incidents of property damage.
According to police, six of the incidents occurred between March 22 and this past Monday. Police also linked the man to an incident from Feb. 18.
Police said the damage occurred:
- Feb. 18 in the 1400 block of Broadway Avenue, where graffiti was sprayed on a building;
- March 22 in the 400 block of Albert Street North, where the damage included broken windows and graffiti;
- March 25 to Monday in the 2400 block of Victoria Avenue, where various graffiti was sprayed;
- Sunday and Monday in the 4800 block of Gordon Road, where two businesses were defaced with graffiti;
- Sunday and Monday in the 1900 block of McIntyre Street, where the damage comprised graffiti; and,
- Monday in the 1400 block of Broad Street, where windows were broken and graffiti was sprayed on the building.
The man was arrested Thursday just after 8:30 a.m., and charged with seven counts of mischief under $5,000 and seven counts of failing to comply with conditions.
He made his first court appearance on the latest charges Thursday.
