A 15-year-old boy is accused of first-degree murder in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy in Regina.
Police were called to an alley on Rae Street early Wednesday morning where they found the victim dead, along with an injured 32-year-old woman who was taken to hospital by paramedics.
After an investigation by the Major Crimes Unit, police said a 15-year-old boy was arrested, and he’s now facing a number of criminal charges, including first-degree murder, assault with a weapon and discharging a firearm recklessly.
The accused killer’s name cannot be released due to a stipulation in Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The death marked Regina’s sixth homicide of 2022, police said.
