The teenager who sparked a lockdown at F.W. Johnson Collegiate last month has pleaded guilty to two charges.
According to court documents, the 13-year-old girl pleaded guilty in Regina Provincial Court on Friday to one count each of assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Three other charges were stayed.
The girl, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was given two years probation and was ordered to perform 10 hours of community service. She also faces numerous conditions stemming from her plea.
On Sept. 23, Johnson was locked down and six elementary schools in the area went into “secure the building” mode after reports that someone with a gun had entered the east-end high school.
No shots were fired and no one was hurt during the incident. Police located the suspect later that day and arrested her.
