A Regina woman has pleaded guilty to charges of theft and fraud.
Patricia Baziniak, 51, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft of a credit card, two counts of theft under $5,000, and one count of fraud under $5,000.
According to a media release issued by the Regina Police Service when Baziniak was initially charged, she had worked as a cleaner in a seniors apartment complex, where she was accused of stealing jewelry and a credit card from an elderly woman who lived there.
Baziniak was also accused of stealing another woman’s credit card at a different seniors complex, police said.
Additionally, Baziniak was charged with fraud after a woman working in Baziniak’s home told police that her bank statements in February of this year had multiple fraudulent charges.
Regina police said they first received a call about Baziniak in August of 2022. She was arrested on April 4.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in Regina Provincial Court.
