A 52-year-old Swift Current man is dead after the SUV he was driving collided with a semi on Highway 4 on Thursday.
According to the RCMP, the crash happened about 15 kilometres south of Elrose at around 9:30 a.m.
The Swift Current man, who was the driver and only occupant of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. His family has been notified.

Police said the semi driver didn’t report any injuries, but was taken to a hospital for assessment after the crash.
The highway has re-opened to traffic, but the RCMP noted that the crash remains under investigation with help from a collision reconstruction expert.
