Police in Regina say two men are facing attempted murder and organized crime charges after an investigation that started back in April.
According to police, patrol officers were at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Argyle Street a few minutes before 2 a.m. on April 12 when they spotted an injured man on the sidewalk. Police said the man was suffering from serious injuries due to “multiple lacerations,” and the officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived and transported him to a local hospital.

“Shortly after 2:00 a.m., the investigation led police to a residence in the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street where a search warrant was executed,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement issued on Friday morning.
“Multiple people were located inside the home. Some were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.”
As a result of the investigation, police said a 31-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were each charged with attempted murder and committing an offence for a criminal organization on Wednesday. The older man is also facing a charge of breaching the conditions of a release order.
Police said the men were scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday and Friday.
