Hilderman was last seen alive in Wolseley on June 5, police said.
During the search, police said she was vulnerable due to a medical condition, and the city’s fire department was called in to help search Lakewood Lake in the northwestern part of the city.
Police did not say if Hilderman’s death is considered suspicious, but noted that the RCMP has taken charge of the case.
“The investigation is now being led by RCMP with the assistance of the Regina Police Service,” the police force said in a statement.
“Due to this death investigation being in its early stages, no further information is available at this time. Any further updates will be provided by the RCMP.”
