Victoria Flores, who represents Ward 6 on Regina City Council, has been elected to the board of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
The federation represents more than 2,000 municipalities across the country, including more than 90 per cent of the country’s population, and works to advocate on their behalf. According to Regina City Council, Flores’ seat on the board will help ensure that “Regina will have a strong voice on the national stage.”

As a board member, council said Flores will help set priorities based on concerns raised by the federation’s members, and will help review and adopt recommendations developed by its policy committees on issues like infrastructure, housing, safety and climate change.
“I am incredibly honoured to join the FCM Board of Directors to ensure our national advocacy stays deeply rooted in the lived experiences of our residents,” Flores said in a statement.
“Canadian cities are facing immense, material challenges when it comes to housing, food security and community infrastructure. I look forward to working with municipal leaders across the country to deliver evidence-based solutions that raise standards for everyone and build more livable communities.”
Flores was first elected to Regina City Council in 2024.
