What’s open and closed in Regina on Labour Day

This weekend is the last chance for Regina residents to swim outdoors in 2026, as the Maple Leaf, Massey, and Buffalo Meadows outdoor pools will close for the year at 5 p.m. on Sep. 7, while the Regent Pool will close at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6.

Here is what else you need to know about the City of Regina’s schedule for the Labour Day holiday:

Civic services: City Hall and all administrative offices are closed.

Regina Transit: Buses will run on a Sunday schedule. The Information Centre and RIDELine will be closed.

Parking: Paid on-street parking zones are not in effect, meaning you can park for free.

Waste and recycling: Garbage, recycling, and food/yard waste pick-up will continue as per usual schedules.

City landfill: Open during regular hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Hazardous waste: The Household Hazardous Waste Materials Depot is closed.

Leisure centres: Both the North West Leisure Centre and the Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre will open their doors from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Sportplex: The Fieldhouse is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., but the Lawson Aquatic Centre is closed for maintenance.

Wascana Outdoor Pool: Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Maple Leaf Outdoor Pool: Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Buffalo Meadows, Regent and Massey outdoor pools: Open 12 to 5 p.m.

NOTE: The Maple Leaf, Massey, and Buffalo Meadows outdoor pools will close for the year at 5 p.m. on Sep. 7, while the Regent Pool will close at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6.

Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre: Closed.

Regina cemeteries: The main office at Riverside Memorial Park is closed, but the cemetery gates remain open to the public from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
