Regina Police Service (RPS) and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have opened a death investigation after a body was discovered in a North Central home on Saturday afternoon.
RPS said in a news release on Oct. 3 that officers responded to a call to the 1300 block of Robinson Street at approximately 2 p.m. and found a person dead inside a home.

Officers cordoned off the area to secure the scene and RPS said investigators from the Major Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit were called in to assist with the ongoing probe.
The incident occurred just blocks away from Albert Community School, located nearby on Robinson Street.
This discovery marks the second major police response on the street in less than 48 hours. On Thursday afternoon, officers were called to the neighbouring 1100 block of Robinson Street, where they found two men and a teenage boy suffering from gunshot wounds.
The public is being asked to completely avoid the 1300 block of Robinson Street while the investigation continues. Both motorists and pedestrians are advised to find alternative routes.
RPS said it is too early in the investigation to release further details, and the name or sex of the dead person is not being made public at this time.
Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at reginacrimestoppers.ca or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
