The Regina Police Service has announced that the death of a man following a shooting on Saturday afternoon is now being investigated as a homicide. It is the city’s sixth homicide of 2026.
In a news release issued Saturday, the Regina Police Service said officers responded to a call in the 1300 block of Robinson Street at about 2 p.m. and found a person dead inside a home.

Officers cordoned off the area to secure the scene. The police service said investigators from the Major Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Unit were called in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
The incident occurred a few blocks from Albert Community School on Robinson Street.
The discovery marked the second major police response on the street in less than 48 hours. On Thursday afternoon, officers were called to the neighbouring 1100 block of Robinson Street, where they found two men and a teenage boy suffering from gunshot wounds.
