The discovery by the “F” Division Underwater Recovery Team ends a three-week search for the 26-year-old, who was connected to a red Dodge pickup truck that went over a guardrail, through the ice and into the creek on Nov. 16.
According to a news release, police found Koop upstream from where the truck came to a rest in the water, partially submerged.
Koop’s body was found a day after his family, with the help of the RCMP, issued a public request to help locate him.
Swift Current Municipal RCMP continue to investigate the crash.
