1st court appearance for Tearrius George on domestic assault charge

Tearrius George sat quietly in the back of domestic violence court in Regina before making his first appearance before a judge on Thursday afternoon.

The former Saskatchewan Roughrider is charged with assaulting a 33-year-old woman during an argument on April 28.

The defensive end retired from the Riders to “focus on a personal issue” on the day the Regina Police Service announced his charge of assault.

The judge adjourned the court date, advising him to seek legal counsel before entering any kind of plea. George will be back in court on May 26.
