Police said Colby Nicholas Heid was driving on the Pasqua Street extension grid road, south of Zehner, when his pickup collided with another truck, killing a Regina man.
RCMP have not released the name publicly, but friends on social media are naming the victim as 37-year-old Tanner Kaufmann. They are sending condolences to the family of Kaufmann, who leaves behind a wife and two young children.
Heid remains in custody and made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
