While most schools in the province prepare to reopen their doors, there will be a delay for Indian Head Elementary School.
A staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.
Because of that, students will start out with remote learning on Thursday.
In person classes will start up on Sep. 17.
“The safety and well-being of our school community is our top priority and we will continue to work closely with the SHA to ensure that necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff,” said Luc Lerminiaux, the director of education with Prairie Valley School Division. “We are confident that we will be able to safely resume in-class learning at Indian Head Elementary School.”
